Mislens FAQ about RX Contact Lenses (3)
Dec 14,2024 | Nacy Care
Recently, we have received some customers with prescription lens problems and questions. Today, I intend to do a unified FAQ answer.
Question 1: Why do the lenses I bought slide away?
First, before purchasing prescription lenses, you must check with your optometrist about your eye's Base Curve (BC). The lenses on our Mislens website usually have a BC of 8.6mm, which is suitable for most people. However, each person is unique and his/her eye's BC is different. If your eye's BC is less than 8.6mm, the lenses are unsuitable for your eyes and will tend to slip away. You need to choose the right product according to the base arc of your eyes to avoid slipping away as much as possible.
Question 2: Why is there only a “-” instead of a “+” in the prescription lenses on the website?
Yes, we only sell prescription lenses with “-” prescription, which is suitable for nearsighted eyes. The “+” prescription is ideal for farsighted eyes.
Question 3: Why doesn't the tinted portion of the prescription lenses I purchased cover the entire eye after I wear them?
Generally, the part of the pupil of the colored lenses for everyday use is not covered. In other words, no matter where you buy colored soft lenses, the middle part of the lens (where your pupil is) is transparent and this part will not be included in the tinting, otherwise it will cover your whole vision and you will be blind. That said, the size of the Graphic diameter of the lens is directly related to the effect of the tint range when the lens is worn. For example, if the lens diameter is 14.2mm, the larger the Graphic diameter, The greater the effect of dilating the pupils when viewed visually. The next picture will show you the visual difference between different lens diameters.
See? As stated in the previous sentence, the larger the lens diameter, the larger the corresponding Graphic diameter will normally be, and the effect of visually dilating your pupils will be more pronounced.
Therefore, before purchasing lenses, you should check what diameter suits your eyes. If you want a natural look, you can choose lenses with a diameter of 14.2mm or 14.0mm. This lens diameter is suitable for most people. Of course, if you are sure about the diameter of your eyes, you can buy lenses that suit you better!
📌 Lens Diameter:14.0mm, Graphic Diameter: 13.2mm.
📌 Lens Diameter:14.2mm, Graphic Diameter: 13.6mm.
📌 Lens Diameter:14.5mm, Graphic Diameter: 13.8mm.
Last but not least, whether you buy prescription lenses, normal soft-color contact lenses, or cosplay lenses, you must pay attention to cleanliness and hygiene. It is generally recommended that you change your lens case once a month, and use a professional lens cleaning solution instead of just rinsing your lenses with water and other liquids that may contain bacteria. Of course, Mislen's website also has professional lens accessories that you can purchase as needed. generally, we do not recommend wearing good-quality lenses for a long period. For your eye health, please use the time limit of treasonably for the lenses.
